I recently was asked to start offering my crochet plushie creations in a vintage and furniture/home decor store in my town. I love the store and the store owner, her furniture restorations are incredible and the store owner is such a cool lady. I’m still figuring out what sells best for me and in my market but I wanted to share some of the patterns I’ve been making on repeat to increase my inventory in the meantime!
Mabel the Chicken by OakandMarlow
This has got to be one of the most popular and by far the cutest pattern available out there lately. I know a ton of other crochet makers are making the OakandMarlow chicken and I couldn’t resist either. They’re so cute and squishy, quick to make and so customizable!
Stegosaurus by @Nooks_Hooks
This is a free plushie pattern offered by Nooks Hooks on their instagram page. This whips up so fast and can be made in a ton of color combinations. It also is a no-sew pattern so its easy to travel with! I have made a few so far, and if you use yellow yarn, it looks like a dino chicken nugget.
Dolphin Pattern by @Crochetbykittengrll
This is another stellar pattern I found on instagram that is such a hit in my area. The dolphin is a larger size plushie so its more of a showstopper and it is so cute and squishy! You can find this pattern here!
Fergus the Fox by @Jessianna.Crochet
I got to test the Fergus the Fox pattern by @Jessiane.Crochet and it was such a great pattern!! It turns out so cute and you can easily make a bunch for a market or for someone who loves a cute little buddy.
Mini Cow by @Nooks_Hooks
As I continue to search for a cow pattern I can count, I have made this mini cow pattern, also by Nooks Hooks. This one is super cute, and made a chubby little cow with no neck. This pattern could be done in a bunch of different colors or in all pink for a pig! You can find her instagram account with all her fabulous patterns here.
Mini Holiday Gnome by Ninja Cat Crafts
I’m also working on some holiday themed plushies and the main one I’m working on right now is the mini Gnome pattern from Ninja Cat Crafts. The author does theirs with a 2.5mm hook and sport weight yarn, I am using 3.75 mm and worsted weight because I am currently on a yarn buying ban. These come out so cute, and you don’t even have to fluff the beards to get the full effect, although I love playing barber and trimming them just so.
Crochet Book
A lot of the other patterns I used are all found in the book by the Lauren Espy. I LOVE this book, she is so talented and her patterns are so easy to modify and make your own. Her shop is here if you want to check it out!
Other things on Sale
I’ve also got some belt bags on sale, which would make great holiday gifts too! The link and info on this pattern is on my other page, Fantastic Fiber Bags for All Your Toting Needs.
